waseem ahmad siddiqui/ صدیقی / 1992  / LAHORE / ISTANBUL

I am Pakistani-born, live in Istanbul, a radio anchor and a writer. I mainly focus on autobiographical methodologies following /spatial storytelling / translocation / boundary / home /that later yearns for the possible collectivity. After living half of my life, away from home. I have only recently little by little begun to realize that the very idea of being "at home" is actually the precise idea of "making home." It is the precise realization, I believe, or perhaps an act, that encompasses the formation of relationships through coming together, the coexistence of learning together, the invitations of embracing altogether, the ethics of living next door, or the gatherings with any sort of "side-by-sidedness" to form the relationship of friendship.  I firmly holds these differences as a precious form of collectivity.  My work attempt to look for the possibility of writing an autobiography, and ask whether or if this possibility —the possibility of mediation in his distorted memory, or, perhaps, more importantly, the specific disjunctions between the mediation of what he remembers and what he doesn't remember in terms of lived experience— can ever be justified by rational frameworks.
